Hello and welcome! I’m Florence, and here you’ll be able to read more about Colours n Blooms.
About Colours n Blooms
Colours n Blooms started in 2008, rooted in my father’s wise counsel to “Do everything heartily!” These words of wisdom set me on a meaningful journey to reconnect with flowers and to create delightful expressions through them.
My dream is to be able to capture the beauty of our natural world in one’s hands through the creation of beautiful bouquets through the curation of the most delectable flowers. The bouquets are styled to reflect nature’s delicate movements and emotions.
My hope is that through designs which combine technical expertise with lavish floral materials, they will serve to bring joy to those who receive them and set their eyes upon them, whether in a personal or corporate setting. Be it a hand bouquet, bridal flowers or transforming an empty space into an enchanting venue, my aim is to inspire awe and spread joy through seasonally inspired designs.
Proverbs 11:26 – “A generous man will prosper, he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”
Through the years, I’ve been refreshed over and over by the beautiful blooms and the wonderful clients I’ve been blessed to meet. These have truly led me to cherish the moments and appreciating the beautiful florals I work with on a daily basis! I have seen how flowers behave and it seems like they know when you appreciate them – and they dance for you!

My Education in Floristry
My passion for floristry began with my love for flowers and for Ikebana.
From 2005 to 2010, I obtained a variety of training in traditional and modern styles of floral arrangement. This was done locally and overseas, and I would like to thank and give credit to my teachers.
- Nobleman School of Floral Design (2005-2007), Mr Anson Low
- American Floral Art School, Chicago (2008), Mr James Moretz
- Konzept fur Florale Gestaltung, Germany (2010), Mr Gregor Lersch
Ikebana is the Japanese art of floral arrangement, and this remains as one of my core passions. My Ikebana name is 秀林, and my Ikebana teacher is Bernard Tay from Sogetsu Association, Singapore.
